Fleet Maintenance

COMPENSATION:

This is an HOURLY/NON-EXEMPT position. The hourly rate is:  $32.48. 

This position is covered under the Teamster Mechanic Agreement.

(This pay rate represents the rate of pay for this position in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement)

JOB SUMMARY:

General duties include responsible for the repair on all warehouse moving equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair, service and maintain all material handling equipment including electric and gas forklifts, transporters, tuggers, and electric and manual pallet jacks.
• Decision making and problem solving required
• Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must furnish basic tools
• Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from within and outside the Company
• Perform repairs in other shop departments as needed

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have a valid California Driver License with clear record
• Minimum of four (4) years of forklift maintenance and repair experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be available to work a flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience with repairing and maintaining propane forklifts along with scrubbers
• Strong electrical troubleshoot experience with A/C, D/C, and current
• Strong knowledge and experience with hydraulic diagnostic 
• Must furnish basic hand tools and roll-a-way toolbox
• Must pass a physical and pre-employment drug test
