Summary

Hotel Saint Augustine is looking for candidates to join our newly opened property! Hotel Saint Augustine is a new 71-room property located in the heart of the Montrose neighborhood. The hotel is spread across five small buildings with an all-day restaurant, lobby bar, and intimate event space. A Dishwasher exceeds expectations by completing tasks that include but are not limited to cleaning dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment, and utensils. This position works closely with both the front of house and back of house teams to ensure customer satisfaction. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate weight. Qualifications

  • Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry.
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or guests 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
  • Bus dining room and patio. Keep tables clear of dishes and food remnants
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
  • Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars
  • Sweep and scrub floors
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam
  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Assist in unloading deliveries (food and supplies)
  • Ensure open lines of communication via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the restaurant are met
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
  • Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property
  • Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements
  • Attend relevant meetings

Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position.
