LUCIEN is a 30-seat fine dining restaurant opening Spring 2025 in La Jolla. Helmed by Chef Elijah Arizmendi, whose career has taken him through acclaimed Michelin-starred restaurants such as Per Se, Joel Robuchon, and Daniel, LUCIEN will offer guests a tasting menu experience that embodies Chef’s vision for Californian cuisine. At LUCIEN, we’ll be celebrating local farms and fishermen – taking only the best ingredients at their peak in seasonality and elevating them through both modern mastery and time-honored techniques.
We are seeking ambitious, passionate, and detail-oriented individuals to join our opening team as SERVERS. The Server is the primary point of contact for LUCIEN’s guests and ensures that guests have a memorable dining experience. As Server, you will introduce the concept of the restaurant, reconfirm allergies, answer questions about the food and beverage menu, and establish rapport with guests to build guest loyalty and gather feedback. The Server is the liaison between the culinary team and Server Assistants. You must communicate and coordinate with the kitchen regarding menu changes, product availability, and to ensure appropriate pacing of the tasting menu. The Server prepares the dining room, service station, and trays according to service standards and clears food and beverage items. The Server also performs tableside presentations such as carving, pouring, mixing, etc. As part of our starting team, you have an ownership mentality; you obsess over guests and constantly strive to go above and beyond in the pursuit of excellence.
