About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and mission-obsessed Product Designer to join our team. In this unique, high-impact role, you will have the opportunity to shape the user experience, design language, how we conduct customer research, brand, and product – playing a pivotal part in helping our company be a world-class product.

Key Responsibilities

In the early days of the company, you will be a generalist designer with a product lens who will work on many different parts of the org, including but not limited to:

• Product design : Lead design and user experience for significant parts of our core product; contribute to the design process from conception through to prioritization to launch.
• Customer research : Be comfortable and opinionated while breaking down ambiguous problems. You will leverage a direct line to our customers to gather insights, explore solutions, create prototypes and challenge our product assumptions.
• Support marketing : While most responsibilities will be skewed towards the product, we expect designers to have a fluency with the company visual and brand universe. You will help share our company with the world, build hype, and affect how the brand shows up.
• Brand campaigns : We will have all sorts of campaigns such as The Founder Health Coalition. You may be expected to assist our distribution abilities wherever possible across socials, brand and web.

What You Need

• Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design
• Experience working with developers and PMs building and shipping applications or software
• Extraordinary visual design skills and strong understanding of UX principles
• Background in visual/interaction design, UX/UI, branding & identity, and typography
• Experience with low and high-fidelity prototyping
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• User obsession and desire to think critically about how to improve customer experiences

While we focus on raw talent above experience, we are generally looking for people with 3-5 years of professional work experience in a similar role, ideally at an early-stage or growth-stage startup tech startup or digital product agency.

Nice-to-Haves

• A strong understanding of software engineering workflows and principles is encouraged
• Experience and fluency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite

Additional information

Salary: $120,000-$160,000 + equity

Location: Hybrid, Preferably in San Francisco
