Position Summary

We are seeking a Principal Salesforce Business Analyst to join the IT team at American Tower. In this key role, you will serve as a strategic partner across business units, leveraging your Salesforce expertise to translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions. You'll lead cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and help ensure that Salesforce and integrated systems provide measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Business Analysts, promoting best practices and sharing technical and functional knowledge.
• Act as a subject matter expert across multiple business domains and system integration points.
• Drive strategic solution design, ensuring flexibility and alignment with future growth and integration opportunities.
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions for complex, cross-functional projects; identify and reconcile conflicting or unspoken requirements.
• Identify process inefficiencies and propose effective, scalable solutions.
• Conduct peer reviews to uphold the quality and integrity of project deliverables.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that delivered solutions meet business goals.
• Proactively identify opportunities where IT can add value and provide thought leadership to business units.
• Stay current on new technologies, trends, and best practices to inform strategic business and technical decisions.
• Manage full project lifecycles: from estimation and planning to execution and communication.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation throughout all project phases.
• Partner with QA teams to validate test scripts and ensure solution readiness.
• Support organizational readiness and change management during solution rollout.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Master's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• CBAP or CCBA certification preferred.

Experience

• 9+ years of professional experience in business analysis, application design, or system implementation.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience delivering scalable Salesforce solutions.
• Experience with Salesforce integration, data mapping, and data migration.
• Familiarity with native Salesforce reporting tools and external reporting systems.
• Background in the tower, leasing, real estate, or operations industry preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of application integration with cloud and external systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective collaboration skills across diverse teams.
