Learn About a Day in the Life of a Monitor Technician:

• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients; identify various cardiac arrhythmias and detect heart rhythm/rate variations
• Interpret cardiac rhythm and document in the patient’s medical record according to the departmental standards.
• Ensure appropriate and timely response to alarms.
• Follow escalation process to ensure optimal patient care
• Ensure correct patient identification information on all assigned telemetry monitors
• Troubleshoot telemetry problems and assist the nursing staff with the same

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Job Requirements: 

• Monitor Tech, EKG, Patient care experience
