Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mold Maker to join our team. The duties of the Mold Maker position will include designing, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining molds used in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of hands-on experience in mold making and have expertise in machining, tooling, and blueprint reading, with a keen eye for precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to molds.
- Operate and set up various machine equipment such as CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
- Assemble, fit, and adjust mold components to ensure proper functionality and precision.
- Use measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, comparators) with precision and accuracy.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to tooling performance, implementing necessary adjustments and modifications as needed.
- Inspect finished molds for accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
- Uphold stringent safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment always.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their skill development and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications: - 15 plus years of proven experience in Mold Making, demonstrating a track record of delivering exceptional quality work.
- Strong understanding of mold design, materials, and fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in operating manual, CNC, and EDM machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
