Position: Part time - Interior Designer- Home Stager
Hudson Valley Headquartered - NYC based interior design firm owned by Celebrity Interior Designer Cathy Hobbs, an Emmy Award winning television host and finalist on Season 6 of HGTV Design Star, is looking for the ideal talent to join our award winning design team for our opening for a part-time home staging stylist position.

Job details:

• This (part time) entry-level home staging/stylist position provides the ideal candidate with an incredible opportunity to grow, learn and be part of a dynamic creative environment that blends interior design, home staging, and real estate, with visual merchandising and styling skills.
• Position: Part-Time Interior designer - Home Stager /Visual Merchandiser.
• This is a part time position 2-3 days per week. When not on staging assignments work location will be our Hudson Valley Headquarters/Warehouse located on 4 acres surrounded by orchards in bucolic New Paltz. **REQUIRED**

Cathy Hobbs Design Recipes is an Interior Design/Home Staging firm specializing in a unique hybrid model that blends luxury real estate staging and styling plus extensive video production. With its own in-house production company, CHDR offers brokers (included in its staging packages) the option of hosted property tours, broadcast quality virtual property tours in addition to interactive virtual 360 tours, all professionally shot and edited and provided to brokers for their own self-promotion and usage.

 

Founded in 2004 by Emmy-Award winning television host and finalist on Season 6 of HGTV Design Star, Cathy Hobbs Design Recipes is one of the premiere staging companies serving the tri-state area. CHDR maintains an expansive warehouse, which includes a curated collection of furniture, artwork, chandeliers, accessories, and drapery. To meet the needs of its expanding business, the company's new, expansive 12,500 square foot state-of-the art building/warehouse (to be completed in October/November 2024), will serve as the first passive house certified warehouse in North America.

 

Who you are:

You are a smart, self-starter with excellent communication skills with a passion for and knowledge of visual merchandising, interior design and home staging. 

 

Educational/experience (required/preferred):

• College degree
• 1 + years relevant experience in visual merchandising or home staging

Ideal candidates:

• Visual merchandising experience specifically in the home decor (not fashion) field is a plus (but not required).
• Strong interest in real estate and interior design (a plus but not required).
• Basic ability to assemble furniture.
• Basic ability to hang artwork.
• Basic visual merchandising, styling, and or prop styling skills.
• Strong social media skills (required).
