Job Title: IT Project Manager (Banking/Finance Experience Preferred)

Location: Remote (with monthly onsite requirement at one of our offices located in San Antonio; or Dallas/Houston for candidates outside San Antonio)

Position Type: Contract (with potential for conversion to FTE, based on availability)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our team in managing IT projects within the banking and finance industry. In this role, you will oversee small to medium-sized application and infrastructure implementation/upgrade projects. While we ideally seek candidates with a background in banking or finance, we welcome applicants from other industries with strong IT project management experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make an impact in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage small to medium-sized IT projects, including software application and infrastructure implementations/upgrades.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
• Manage project resources effectively, ensuring the right skills are available at the right time.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects successfully and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Utilize project management tools and software, primarily MS Project, to track project progress and manage resources.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 2-5+ years of experience managing small to medium-sized IT projects independently.
• Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies and disciplines.
• Solid knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage expectations and build relationships.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.

Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Project.
• Project schedule development and management.
• Project resource management and allocation.

Certifications:

• PMP certification is preferred.
• CSM or PMI-ACP certification is a plus.
