Job Description
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with expertise in commercial banking, specifically in deposit operations and loan operations, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the banking sector, along with hands-on project management experience. This is a hybrid role based in New York City or New Jersey, and we are looking for candidates who are local to the area.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage IT projects for commercial banking operations, with a focus on deposit and loan operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Oversee the day-to-day management of project teams, resources, and budgets.
Identify and mitigate risks, resolving any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Ensure effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work closely with business units to understand their needs and translate them into IT solutions.
Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Provide regular project status reports and updates to senior management.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial banking, specifically in deposit operations and loan operations.
Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
Proven experience in managing IT projects within the commercial banking sector.
Strong knowledge of banking processes and systems, particularly related to deposits and loans.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Experience with project management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment.
