As an Internal Auditor at NDRIO, your insights will guide leaders in managing risk, tightening controls, and optimizing operations, ensuring that every decision we make is grounded in accountability and transparency. You'll play a vital role in enhancing operational effectiveness, ensuring compliance, and advising leadership on risk and control matters.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and perform audits of agency activities, from routine to complex
  • Assess risk, develop audit scope, and evaluate internal controls and compliance with policies and laws.
  • Prepare and present audit reports with findings, recommendations, and follow-up evaluations.
  • Provide advisory services on new systems, business processes, and initiatives to ensure effective risk management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and consultants, assisting with documentation, testing, and reviews.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and participate in committees, task forces, and special projects.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of relevant work experience in accounting, auditing, business administration, finance, information technology, investments, or a closely related field.

An associate's degree and three years of relevant work experience may substitute for the above requirements; or a comparable combination of education and relevant work experience that provides equivalent knowledge and skills will also be considered.

Compensation & Location

Hiring Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 annually, dependent upon experience

Location: NDRIO is located in Bismarck, ND. Upon successful completion of a probationary period, the selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week, while working at least 3 days onsite at our Bismarck office.
