We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a dynamic and patient-focused primary care clinic. In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for optimizing workflows, delivering exceptional patient experiences, and supporting high-performing teams. You'll help foster a welcoming and efficient environment for both patients and staff.
What You’ll Be Doing
Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, onboard, and retain top clinical and administrative talent.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify growth opportunities, and implement development plans.
Foster a positive culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence.
Operational Management
Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure smooth workflows and timely, quality care.
Manage staff scheduling to maintain proper coverage and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to healthcare standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Patient Experience
Address patient concerns with empathy and urgency, ensuring a high standard of service.
Champion the patient journey to deliver a compassionate and seamless care experience.
Facility & Resource Oversight
Monitor inventory levels and equipment maintenance to support uninterrupted clinical care.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment.
Financial & Performance Oversight
Review operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Manage clinic financials, including intake, banking processes, and cost control.
Promote accountability for achieving performance and financial goals.
Growth & Partnerships
Support strategic growth through capacity planning and optimizing provider schedules.
Build and maintain productive relationships with vendors and partners.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure strict adherence to healthcare laws, safety regulations, and internal policies.
Promote a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for staff and patients alike.
What You Bring to the Role
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of healthcare operations or clinic management experience.
Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
Proven problem-solving, conflict resolution, and strategic planning skills.
Flexible and adaptable mindset with a proactive approach to change.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in EHR systems and tools such as Microsoft Office and Phreesia.
Commitment to high-quality care and improved patient outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field.
Experience managing operations in a primary care or outpatient clinic setting.
Familiarity with EHR systems like Allscripts or Athena.
Understanding of the Metro Detroit healthcare landscape is a plus.
