Job Title: Scrum Master AI Projects

Location: Chicago IL(Hybrid)

Job Type: Full-time

Job Overview: We are seeking a Scrum Master with experience in leading Agile teams within AI-driven projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the team through Agile practices, ensuring timely project delivery, and fostering collaboration among cross-disciplinary teams, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI researchers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for AI project teams.
• Ensure the team follows Agile principles and Scrum framework effectively.
• Assist in removing obstacles that hinder the team's progress, specifically related to AI/ML project challenges.
• Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a well-groomed product backlog and define user stories that align with AI project requirements.
• Support the AI team in breaking down complex machine learning models, data pipelines, and algorithms into actionable tasks.
• Foster collaboration between AI researchers, data engineers, and other technical teams to ensure project deliverables align with business goals.
• Promote continuous improvement within the team, encouraging feedback loops to enhance team performance.
• Track and report on key metrics related to project progress, quality, and AI-specific deliverables.
• Provide mentorship and coaching on Agile practices and Scrum methodology to team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of AI project timelines and deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or similar).
• 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, specifically within AI, machine learning, or data science teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and their application in AI projects.
• Experience working with AI/ML models, data pipelines, and the challenges unique to AI project delivery.
• Ability to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of helping teams deliver AI projects on time and within scope.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while ensuring team focus and quality output.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and AI-related technologies (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS Sagemaker, Google AI, etc.).
• Experience with AI product lifecycle, from data collection to deployment and maintenance.
• Familiarity with data-driven development practices and metrics.
