Job Description

Responsible for the overall management and security of the network. This includes overseeing the development and evaluation of network performance metrics, network security, and the evaluation of current and future business requirements. Directs and controls the design, analysis, planning and implementation of network components. Responsible for ensuring the protection of sensitive electronic data confidentiality, integrity and accountability.

Requirements

Ensure that network engineering work is prioritized in alignment organizational and departmental goals and objectives.

 Assist with all current and future projects as they relate to network communication systems. Manage and coordinate system changes, expansions, and upgrades on all network hardware, software and network communications. Must have strong experience with FORTINET FORTISWITCH equipment . Other Fortinet tools such as FortiNAC, FortiEdge, FortiVoice, FortiSIEM, Fortideceptor, Fortianalyzer, FortiOS are also beneficial. This is not just a Fortinet Security role doing firewalls, but a true Network Architect designing a complete Fortinet solution.

 Ensure network systems (routers, switches, etc.) are operating effectively. Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve network infrastructure.

 Assist with the design, development and implementation of network policies and strategy for network based on business risk.

 Manage the prevention, detection, containment and correction of security breaches with company networked information resources.

 Manage multiple 3rd party vendor relationships for support/consulting on technical systems. Foster effective and professional connections with vendors vital to the operation of communications

 Execute IT compliance plans and conduct periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance; ensure that network requirements are addressed during all phases of the system life cycle.

 Perform proactive security functions and direct reactive network IP defensive measures to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of company networked information resources coordinating with the IT information security team.

 Ensure all network systems are designed in compliance with all applicable security policies.

 Consult with other business units or departments regarding their changing business and technical plans to ensure that network solutions are aligned with corporate policies and strategies.

 Cover network administrator job functions when needed in their absence.

 Provide input on the annual budget process for the applicable cost center expenditures.
