Essential Functions - Prepares periodic financial statements required for external reporting.
- Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.
- Consolidates journal entries and financial accounts to be utilized in internal and external financial statements.
- Prepares internal reports as required.
- Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy.
- May provide support and assistance to external auditors.
Required Qualifications - Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications - Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Business, Finance or accounting degree preferred
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Capital Budgeting. Month-End Close. Quarter-End Close. Regulatory Reporting. Year-End Close. GAAP Standards. Accounting Software. Financial Analysis Software.
Physical Requirements - Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
