• We are hiring immediately for a full time  DOCUMENT CONTROL SPECIALIST  position.
• Location : Fresh & Ready - 1145 Arroyo Avenue, San Fernando, CA 91340.  Note: online applications accepted only .
• Schedule : Full time schedule. Days may vary, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Weekend availability is required. More details upon interview.
• Requirement : Previous quality assurance experience is required.
  • Maintain documents files updated and in an organized manner
  • Must enter operation coolers and Freezers areas to verify documentation and certify amounts of products for traceability
  • Review and assure that all food safety and quality documents of the SQF system are correct and complete
  • Participate in environmental testing, product testing, shelf-life studies, and validation studies
  • Conduct mock recalls
  • Support labeling department with label printing and label information updating
  • Maintain Listeria control program records and initiate corrective actions when required
  • Cover Quality Assurance Technicians as needed
  • Participate in food safety and quality audits by providing records in an accurate and timely manner
• Pay Rate:  $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

  Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare presentations (Power Point, financial book, hard copy, drafting documents...)
• Supports & participated in communication throughout the region
• Research projects/compilation as needed
• Arrange and coordinate conference calls, region meetings and training sessions
• Prepare and process expense reports, payables, credit card statements and e-transfers
• Prepare/maintain regional staff/client/unit directory database
• Work with Compass payroll and maintain “MAP” Manager Access to Personnel to resolve payroll issues
• Assist with new unit openings & corp. branded programs as needed
• Participate in Be-A-Star as chairperson for region
• Complete all daily, weekly or monthly reports on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Performs any other duties as assigned by regional team

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One (1) to three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence
• Experience speaking effectively before groups of managers
• Experience calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
• Experience in applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Experience in operating a standard computer, including basic use of MS applications such as Excel and Word and PowerPoint
