POSITION
Data Governance Program Manager
LOCATION
Hybrid 4 days onsite M-Th in Austin TX

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks and Drive adoption of a data driven culture, MDM best practices and processes
- Be the operational lead of the data governance program
- Coordinate the end-to-end management of data across MDM tool and interdependent systems (i.e. PLM, SAP etc)
- Ensure data compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies
- Execute program roadmap and establish communication channels and cadences to ensure organizational strategy is adopted and track the status of initiatives.
- Manage resourcing, budget, and timeline for data management initiatives and lead reporting to necessary teams
- Manage cross-functional teams to implement tool enhancements, process improvements, backlog reduction and issue resolution
- Evergreen Updates of DG process and policies to reflect enhancements and changes
- Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management and governance to recommend improvements.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Determine proper change management strategies to promote new strategic changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a field with compliance and regulatory data issues (i.,e. financial institutions)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program management leading large scale digital transformations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder alignment, and project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of data management principles, governance frameworks, and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Certification in data management or governance (e.g., CDMP, CDG) is a plus
- Experience in retail is a plus
