Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with extensive expertise in accounting and financial operations who thrives in dynamic environments. You will play a critical role in overseeing financial processes, implementing key projects, and ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. - Lead month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Collaborate on the implementation and optimization of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) software. - Conduct detailed reconciliations and audits to maintain compliance and accuracy in financial records. - Assist with wire transfer system enhancements and related financial operations. - Supervise budget planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. - Generate comprehensive financial reports using tools such as Crystal Reports and CRM systems. - Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support decision-making and organizational development. - Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices within the financial services sector. - Mentor and guide accounting team members to enhance overall departmental performance. Requirements - A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles. - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including FP& A tools and ADP Financial Services. - Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger processes. - Experience with budgeting, auditing, and reconciliation tasks. - Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes efficiently. - Familiarity with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports and CRM systems. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Proven ability to manage and implement financial projects effectively.
