KIPP Delta is part of the nationwide KIPP non-profit network of 275 college-preparatory, public charter schools educating early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students. KIPP Delta currently serves more than 1,200 students across schools in Helena and Blytheville, AR.
KIPP Delta Public Schools seeks a passionate and skilled Computer Technology Teacher to inspire and prepare students with 21st-century digital literacy, problem-solving, and technical skills. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction that aligns with Arkansas state standards and integrates project-based learning to ensure students are equipped for college, careers, and future innovation. This position is key to promoting digital citizenship, technology fluency, and equitable access to STEM pathways.

Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
Deliver daily technology instruction based on Arkansas K–12 Computer Science Standards and KIPP Delta’s academic vision.
Design and implement lesson plans that include computer literacy, coding, computational thinking, digital safety, and basic hardware/software knowledge.
Use project-based learning and real-world applications to engage students in relevant and rigorous work.
Classroom Environment
Build a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment with high expectations for all students.
Incorporate culturally relevant materials and equitable technology practices.
Manage classroom behavior using schoolwide systems rooted in restorative and positive behavioral supports.
Assessment & Data Use
Assess student progress through formative and summative measures, including technology-based assessments.
Use data to differentiate instruction and inform individualized learning plans.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation in accordance with KIPP Delta and Arkansas DESE policies.
Technology Leadership & Integration
Serve as a resource to colleagues on technology integration in all subject areas.
Collaborate with other educators to design interdisciplinary units involving coding, digital design, or productivity tools.
Model best practices in digital citizenship and online safety for students and staff.
Professional Development & Growth
Participate in ongoing professional learning aligned with Arkansas Computer Science initiatives and KIPP’s instructional priorities.
Attend KIPP Delta and state-mandated training including RISE training, blended learning workshops, or coding certification as required.
As a KIPP Delta Teacher, your core responsibilities include:
Curriculum Development and InstructionAdapt and execute a rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum
Develop academically rigorous lessons, unit plans, rubrics and assessments
Use data to inform instructional decisions
Provide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs
Help Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture
Embody and maintain school’s values, policies and culture
Develop positive relationships with students, families, teachers and staff
Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress
Show up for critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, parent teacher conferences and more
Demonstrate a Growth Mindset
Pursue challenging professional goals each year
Give and receive positive and constructive feedback with your colleagues
Participate in school-wide and individual professional development
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting student recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities as needed
Write letters of recommendation for students as needed
Required:
Arkansas teaching license with a Computer Science/Technology certification OR willingness to pursue Additional Licensure Plan (ALP).
Bachelor’s degree in education, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Strong classroom management skills and experience working with diverse student populations.
Commitment to the mission and values of KIPP Delta Public Schools.
Meet Arkansas Qualified Teacher (AQT) status by demonstrated content knowledge in the Core Academic subject area being taught. Please see the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) for more information:
Passing scores on the PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II exams in the content area hired for or commitment to completing both tests within two months of hiring date
Pass criminal background check
Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap
Preferred:
Experience teaching in a KIPP or other high-performing charter school environment.
Familiarity with platforms such as Scratch, Python, HTML/CSS, robotics kits, or Google Workspace for Education.
Knowledge of DESE Computer Science Flexibility rules and Arkansas digital learning frameworks.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
