This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST. We offer 4 weeks of training during normal business hours. If you are located within a commutable distance from 8407 Fallbrook Ave West Hills, CA 91304 , you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Responsible for managing Third - Party AR by analyzing denied and un-responded claims + Outbound calls to insurance carriers to appeal and check claims status + Post explanation of benefits + Coordinate with insurance carriers to reconcile / resolve any issues + Familiar with explanation of benefits + Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards at all times + Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics + Meet or exceed daily quality standards + Perform other duties and functions as assigned + Process insurance / patient refunds and adjustments + Evaluate and respond to all emails request for any deposit issues in order to resolve in a timely matter You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications:** + High School Diploma / GED + Must be 18 years of age OR older + Ability to create and modify spreadsheets within Microsoft Excel + Ability to work between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST from Monday - Friday **Preferred Qualifications:** + Medical Billing experience + Familiar with explanation of benefits **Telecommuting Requirements:** + Reside within a commutable distance from 8407 Fallbrook Ave West Hills, CA 91304 with ability to come onsite for meetings + Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) + Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy + Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service **Soft Skills:** + Ability to navigate on internet for researching purposes + Problem solving, organization and interpersonal skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Communication skills, both verbal and written *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy   The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
