The Albertsons Everyday Strategist will serve as a key constituent to internal management & external customers (Albertsons and Albertsons Divisions); development and implementation of category initiatives to meet and exceed Hershey and Albertsons financial objectives within this business unit. The Strategist will be an expert in the pervasive application of insights to fuel category growth.

• The Everyday Category Strategist will influence the development and implementation of category strategy & initiatives. This role serves as the Category Advisor to Albertsons. The Category Advisor expands Category Management application to encompass all the experiences and engagement points of a retailer, requiring an expansion of skills in data management, advanced analytics, & holistic shopper insights.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify marketplace opportunities which lead to category growth.
• Leverage analytical tools including, but not limited to: Syndicated Data(Circana), Symphony/EYC, Apollo, tools/resources Inter and Intra Channel Benchmarking and Executive Summaries
• Synthesize actionable insights using Albertsons data, internal/syndicated data sources, and shopper insights.
• Grow connectivity with Albertsons key decision makers across Everyday Take Home and FE
• Establish yourself as the leading provider of category strategies and expertise, with Albertsons and within the internal team.
• Enhance cross-functional capabilities by working alongside counterparts in other areas of the category management team and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience: This position requires previous Category Management and/or CPG/Retailer experience (approximately 2-5 years), advanced analytical skills, advanced understanding of consumer\shopper behavior and market research strategies, knowledge of consumer sales industry trends and complete working knowledge of the category management process.

Preferred:

• Apollo, shelf management
• Proficient in Excel/Mekko
