Description:

Role Title: Senior Business Analyst

Work Location: Mostly Remote, with a 1/month meeting in Eagan, MN. Local to MN candidates only.

Duration: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between customers, vendors, and the IT Solutions development team for medium to large projects, focusing on Medicare Part D and Medicaid.
• Translate business processes into technical requirements, including metadata profiling, understanding SDLC, and ELT functions.
• Collaborate with multifunctional teams to interpret CMS Medicare Part D guidance into technical requirements.

Key Skills:

• Communication:  Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
• Technical:  Simplify and convey technical information effectively. Proficient in SQL Server Management Studio, SQL coding, and C#.
• Organizational:  Gather, categorize, and prioritize information efficiently.
• Interpersonal:  Facilitate discussions and translate information for upper management and cross-functional teams.
• Management:  Negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among stakeholders. Manage multiple tasks or projects independently.
• Leadership:  Lead and streamline business processes and system enhancements. Act as a subject matter expert (SME).
• Consultation:  Resolve application issues, recommend work priorities, and propose alternative solutions.
• Analytical:  Design algorithms, analyze metadata, and perform risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Advanced collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical problem-solving, and algorithm development skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft tools (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, O365, JIRA).
• Understanding of the healthcare industry, Medicare Part D rules, Medicaid services, claims adjudication, CMS guidance, and PDE data lifecycle.
• Proficient in SSMS, SQL, SAS EG, Text Editor, and UAT functions.
• Availability for occasional evening, night, or weekend hours during AEP season.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of SAP and the software development lifecycle.
• High integrity with a motivational attitude.
• Ability to identify process improvements and implement them in an agile environment.
• Experience with serverless computing services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
